Spiritual Tour

Haridwar & Rishikesh Tour from Jaipur

Experience Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri and the yoga capital of the world. 500 km from Jaipur. 3-day spiritual journey.

The Gateway to the Gods

Haridwar and Rishikesh — two sacred cities on the banks of the River Ganga in Uttarakhand — are among India's most powerful spiritual destinations. Haridwar ("Gateway to God") is where the Ganga descends from the Himalayas to the plains, and is one of the seven sacred cities in Hinduism where moksha (liberation) can be attained. Rishikesh, just 24 km north of Haridwar, is the "Yoga Capital of the World" — a serene ashram town where the Ganga flows between thickly forested Himalayan foothills, attracting spiritual seekers, yoga practitioners, and adventure enthusiasts from every corner of the globe.

Located approximately 500 km from Jaipur via Jaipur–Delhi–Haridwar route (NH-58), this journey takes about 7–8 hours by road. We recommend this as a 3-day tour to allow adequate time to experience both cities without rushing. Our AC taxi makes the long drive comfortable, and your driver knows the best halting points and refreshment stops along the way.

Haridwar Rishikesh Tour

Haridwar — Sacred Banks of the Ganga

Har Ki Pauri Ghat: The most sacred ghat in Haridwar, Har Ki Pauri (literally "footsteps of God") is believed to be the exact spot where the Ganga leaves the mountains and enters the plains. The evening Ganga Aarti here is one of the most breathtaking spiritual spectacles in India — hundreds of priests simultaneously wave flaming brass lamps over the river as thousands of pilgrims release floating diyas (earthen lamps) into the current, the air thick with the fragrance of marigolds, incense, and the sound of conch shells and bells echoing across the river. It is an experience that stays with you forever.

Mansa Devi Temple: Accessible by ropeway (cable car) or a steep 30-minute climb, the Mansa Devi temple sits atop Bilwa Parvat hill and offers panoramic views of Haridwar and the Ganga valley. The goddess Mansa Devi is believed to fulfil the wishes (mansa = wishes) of devoted pilgrims. Pilgrims tie sacred threads to trees near the temple when making a wish and return to untie them when the wish is fulfilled.

Chandi Devi Temple: Another hilltop temple accessible by ropeway, Chandi Devi is located on Neel Parvat hill across the river from Mansa Devi. One of the "Siddha Peethas" — shrines of special spiritual power — it is dedicated to Goddess Chandi. The 2-hour combined ropeway tour covering both Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi is highly recommended.

Daksha Mahadev Temple: Located in Kankhal (3 km from Haridwar), this ancient Shiva temple is built at the site where the famous yajna (fire sacrifice) of King Daksha was interrupted — the event that led to the death of Sati and ultimately the founding of all the Shakti Peetha temples across India. One of the oldest temples in the Haridwar region.

Haridwar Rishikesh Attractions

Rishikesh — Yoga Capital of the World

Triveni Ghat: The main ghat in Rishikesh where the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers are believed to meet. The evening aarti here rivals Haridwar's for atmosphere, with the surrounding Himalayan forest creating a magical backdrop. Boat rides on the Ganga from Triveni Ghat offer a different perspective on the town.

Laxman Jhula & Ram Jhula: Two iconic suspension bridges across the Ganga that have become symbols of Rishikesh. Laxman Jhula (the older bridge, now only for pedestrians) connects the two banks at a beautiful location surrounded by temples and ashrams. The 13-story Trimbakeshwar Temple at the Laxman Jhula end is a remarkable structure housing temples to different deities on each floor.

The Beatles Ashram (Chaurasi Kutia): The maharishi Mahesh Yogi's ashram where The Beatles famously stayed for two months in 1968, composing much of the White Album. Now abandoned but maintained as a forest heritage site, its crumbling meditation domes are covered in colorful Beatles-inspired graffiti and have become a pilgrimage site for music lovers and spiritual seekers alike. Photography here is exceptional.

Neelkanth Mahadev Temple: A 32-km drive through forest roads from Rishikesh takes you to this important Shiva temple at 1,330 meters altitude, built at the spot where Shiva is said to have consumed the cosmic poison (visha) during the Samudra Manthan. The drive itself through the Himalayan foothills is spectacular.

Rafting & Adventure Sports: Rishikesh is the adventure capital of India. The Ganga between Shivpuri and Rishikesh offers some of the finest white-water rafting in Asia, with Grade III and IV rapids. Bungee jumping, giant swing, zip-line, and rappelling are available at dedicated adventure parks. Our drivers can drop you at the rafting start points and pick you up at the end point.
